Music Guidelines
Category A:
No changes to the music given by organizer can be made.


Category B:
 -Min. 2 minutes and 30 seconds
 -Max. 3 minutes
 -5 points are deducted from total points for every 15 seconds that the routine is over    the time limit.
  Any entry that is one minute over the time limit will be disqualified from the     competition.
  Participants may choose to perform their own choreography, or to cover a   choreographed song.


Additional rules
 Music must be saved in USB. All USBs must be turned in to the organizer at the competition.

 It is advisable for all routines to have an additional USB for back up.

 Music must be clearly marked with the name of the house.

 Music must be cued at the beginning of the song.

 Lyrics of the song must be appropriate, eg. no vulgar words, no content related to  violence, sex, racism etc. Music deemed inappropriate by organizers will be      disqualified.

Use of Props & Costume


 No use of live props, such as animals or people during a routine. No dangerous or
destructive props such as fire, water, knives, guns, swords, glitter, confetti, paint, etc.


 Props may be used in all categories

 No form of liquids (including water), gels, aerosols, glitter, or confetti, etc. which may affect
the stage surface, may be used during a routine.


 All costumes must be appropriate. Costumes deemed inappropriate by organizers will be


Number of Participants
Min. 3 dancers, Max. 7 dancers for both Category A and Category B.
Participants are allowed to join both categories. However, having the exact same team to compete
in both categories is not permitted.


 All dancers/performers, teachers, and audience members should conduct themselves in an
appropriate manner at all times during the competition.


 Sportsmanlike behaviour is expected at all times. Failure to do so could result in immediate


 Participants should be ready at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appearance.

 Technique 25%
 Synchronisation 20%
 Choreography 20%
 Creativity 15%
 Presentation 15%
 Costume 5%
