My Biography
My name is Koyie, and I am a Year 2 Accounting and Business Finance student with a strong interest in financial management, transparency, and student development. With experience in organising events, managing budgets, and supporting student initiatives, I am committed to ensuring that HWUMSA’s finances are handled responsibly and effectively for the benefit of all students.
My Manifesto
* ensure transparent, accurate, and accountable financial management that students can trust * streamline budgeting and claims processes by improving clarity, reducing delays, and supporting clubs throughout submissions to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations * allocate funds fairly and strategically based on student needs, event impact, and organisational priorities to maximise engagement * maintain strong, open communication with all student bodies
What motivated me to nominate myself?
I nominated myself because I am deeply committed to safeguarding HWUMSA’s finances and ensuring that every ringgit is used responsibly, transparently, and in the best interest of students. I take financial integrity seriously and am driven to improve budgeting systems, streamline claims, and create a treasury that students and clubs can fully trust and rely on.
My top three priorities
* Improving the claiming process: faster, clearer, and more accessible, have a workshop for claim forms. * Enhancing transparency: regular updates and clear financial records, announce monthly financial statements. * Supporting student initiatives: ensuring funds are used to maximise student benefit.
What would I bring to the role?
I bring an accounting background and leadership experience as a president of C&S and Head of Orientation Committee. As Secretary of Music Club of 2 years and HWUMSA Vice Secretary, I believe i can manage budgets reliably and stay highly organised and detail-oriented.
