My Biography
My name is Santa, and I am an active and enthusiastic member of the HWUM student community. I believe strongly in balancing academics with sports and recreation, as both are essential for a healthy and well-rounded university experience. I enjoy working with people, organising activities, and creating opportunities for students to connect beyond the classroom.
My Manifesto
As a candidate for Vice President of Sports, HWUMSA, my goal is to make sports more inclusive, engaging, and accessible to all students—whether you’re a competitive athlete or just looking for a fun way to stay active. I aim to strengthen participation, improve communication, and foster a supportive sports culture across HWUM.
What motivated me to nominate myself?
I nominated myself because I genuinely care about student life and believe sports play a major role in building confidence, teamwork, and community. I want to contribute actively to HWUMSA by helping create an environment where every student feels encouraged to participate, regardless of skill level or experience.
My top three priorities
Increase Student Participation Organise more inclusive and beginner-friendly sports activities to encourage wider involvement. Improve Communication & Engagement Ensure students are well-informed about sports events, trials, and activities through consistent updates. Support & Strengthen Sports Teams Work closely with team leaders to ensure students feel supported, motivated, and represented.
What would I bring to the role?
If elected, I aim to bring energy, approachability, and organisation to the role. My focus will be on strengthening HWUMSA’s presence, promoting unity within HWUM, and ensuring individual students feel valued and included. Through sports, I hope to help build stronger connections, school spirit, and a more vibrant campus life.
